I’m disappointed that Fall Holiday has been canceled, however I think I’ll exercise my right to take vacation days for Halloween! My sisters are both in the Krewe of Boo, so there will be lots going on that Friday, October 31st! October 25 is my sister Angela’s birthday too, so we can celebrate big on Halloween. I received a phone call from my friend Rene in Austin, and he expressed great interest in coming to visit for Halloween. Plans are now in the works!
A bit of background on the Krewe of Boo: established as a non-profit by Blaine Kern, its purpose is to raise money for first responders who lost their homes in the hurricanes. 2008 is the inaugural season and the organization hopes to make New Orleans a destination for Halloween.
